Category Description

The property maintenance professional has the required knowledge for property maintenance, and landscape and outdoor service and maintenance work.
Property maintenance services can include working in accordance with the site, and the handling of small service jobs, adjustments, repairs and measurement tasks, related to heating, plumbing and ventilation systems.

The competition task is based on the curriculum-based training of a vocational degree in Property Work and Heating, Plumbing and Ventilation System Maintenance and upon the requirements of the level good.

He/she knows how to combine property maintenance along with other service work at the site in accordance with the operations of the site and the business idea.
The student uses hand tools to complete the competition task.

The competing time allowed for the competition is maximum 1hr 30min per competitor, including guidance, task planning, implementing, self-evaluation, and the giving of feedback by the jury.

There can be 2 competitors / institute or unit in the competition.

The category observes the TaitajaPLUS competition rules that can be found on the SkillsFinland web pages. The student must have an Individual Educational Plan (IEP), a personal learning plan for special students.

In case of a possible elimination, it will be organised in accordance with the Taitaja timetable during December-January, notification of the specific time and place will be made December 3, 2010. The specific date for the competition in the category during the Taitaja Finals will be made public after the elimination.
