Participation
Participation is open for everyone who is in a vocational basic degree training and born in the year 1991 or after.
Category Description
The competition tasks of this category are based on the requirements of level 3 (on a scale of 1-3) as described in the curriculum-based training of a vocational degree and upon the demands of working life for young employees.
A hairdresser has to master professional skills for cutting hair and trimming beards, styling hair and applying makeup, colouring hair and giving permanents to customers. In this customer service oriented profession cooperation, and interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills are emphasized. In addition, the hairdresser can provide complete styling services as well as hair care and styling solutions to customers. The hairdresser mainly works in small hair salons in customer service work.
Taitaja 2011 competition tasks
The task guidelines, the professional skills demonstration, and the modular structure of the competition determine the content of the tasks in the Taitaja 2011 Finals. The competition tasks are in accordance in with the new curriculum. The broad areas of the vocational degree are emphasized in the competition tasks.
