Participants
Participation is open to young people studying for a qualification in vocational education who have been born in 1991 or after.

General Category Description
This category is based on the curriculum-based training of a basic vocational degree, the curriculum being that of Publishing and Printing and the study programme of a Layout Designer (graphic designing and editing, and the mastery of publishing and image processing software). The tasks are based on the requirements of level 3 (on a scale of 1-3). During the competition, the participants will produce a body of printing work of three 2-4 -colour print designs. They will design a graphic layout and use Macintosh workstations for implementation, using up-to-date graphic software and taking printing requirements into account.
The designs of the contestants will be projected to the audience during the competition.
Skills requirements that the successful competitor should master:
-the command of graphic, image processing and pagination programs and shareware
-vector pictures and pixel graphics
-file management, taking into account printing technology quality requirements
-the basics of typography
-photography/photo materials production
-data transfer

Preliminary Evaluation Methods
The judges will decide the ranking of the competitors by giving points to each competitor. The World Skills CIS point system will be used in which the maximum points for each category is 100.
The performances are evaluated every day, the final evaluation criteria
In case that a competitor risks his/her own or someone else's safety, it is possible to suspend the competition.
Performance will be evaluated also during the competition.
The competition jury in their meetings will decide final evaluation criteria.
