Finals Timetable
The Finals are to be held in Kuopio.
General Description of the Category
The category competition is an individual competition. The competition tasks are based on the requirements of level 3 (in a scale of 1 to 3) of the curriculum-based vocational training in Construction.
-Stages of framework
-Foundation work
The competitor, if necessary, and depending on the task, will have the use of a helper to be arranged by the organisers.
The competition task is public, and will be published two months before the Finals. The Finals jury along with the category organisers will alter the task by approximately 30%.
The competitors will receive drawings, written and oral instructions by which to prepare the work. In the beginning, the competitor plans the order of work and solves possible work-related tasks which the preparation of the work will require, after which the required structures are to be built with the provided materials.
The allowed time for completion of the task during the three competition days is 18 hours in total, in accordance with the timetable that will be given out separately.
The competition task is modular, so that performance can be evaluated daily.
Preliminary Evaluation Methods
The judges will decide the ranking of the competitors by giving points to each competitor. The World Skills CIS point system will be used in which the maximum points for each category is 100.
The performances are evaluated in modules. The final evaluation criteria will be decided by the category jury along with the category organisers.
In case that a competitor risks his/her own or someone else's safety, it is possible to disqualify the competitor. The evaluation will be carried out objectively and subjectively; the subjective component of the evaluation will count approximately 15% of the evaluation.

The final evaluation criteria are to be decided by the jury, either by accepting the criteria drawn up by the category organisers, or by drawing up their own.
If a task or part of a task is to be evaluated subjectively, the numbers (1-10) given by different judges can only differ by one from the highest to the lowest.
There will be an evaluation of each module or part of a module completed. The performance is evaluated on the competence of the work, the accuracy, the tidiness of the work, work safety, and the organisation of the work place. The work has to be performed in the allowed time limit.
Each judge should immediately report any faults or mistakes in the evaluation, and the jury, under the head judge, will immediately decide on all procedures so that all competitors are treated equally.
The evaluation forms are given to the head judge and will be sent to be calculated within an hour after each module or task is completed. The results will be published by modules.

-Trestles and scaffoldings
-Any special equipment that might be needed (list included in competition invitation)

-Other tools and equipment listed in the competition invitation
Electric tools, which have not been previously listed or the competitor has not been asked by the organisers to bring, cannot be used.
