Category Description
Stonemasons perform their tasks individually. The competition tasks are based on the requirements of level 3 (on a scale of 1-3) as described in the curriculum-based training of a vocational degree in Building.

The competition task is public and it will be published two months before the finals. The Finals Jury along with the category organisers will alter the task approximately 30%.
The competitors will receive the task drawings, and written and oral work instructions. In the beginning, the competitor plans the staging of the work and solves the work-related tasks, and then the competitor will build the required structures with the materials provided by the organisers.
The time allowed for the task during the three competition days is 18 hours in total, in accordance with the time table that will be given out separately.
The competition task is modular, in order that task performance can be evaluated daily.

In the case of possible adjustments to the list of equipment, the competitors will be notified 2 weeks before the competition.

The organisers will provide the natural stone materials and structures at the competition venue.

Preliminary Evaluation Procedures
The jury is made up of representatives from working life and teachers.
The judges will decide the ranking of the competitors by giving points to each competitor. The World Skills CIS point system will be used in which the maximum points for each category is 100.
The performances are evaluated daily. The final evaluation criteria will be decided by the jury. Before the beginning of the competition, the head judge will give binding instructions on the competition schedule, the evaluation practices and the number of points assigned to different competition tasks.In case that a competitor risks his/her own or someone else's safety, it is possible to disqualify the competitor. The evaluation forms are given to the head judge and sent to be calculated at the end of the competition day. The jury will give oral feedback to the competitor with the competition task evaluation.
